Links to FDM and Fascia Organizations

Stephen P. Typaldos Memorial

This is a tribute to the founder of FDM who died on March 28, 2006.

Institute of Fascial Osteopathy

This is the website of Triggerband's new partners, Frank and Sina Roemer. They are helping to teach and advance fascial distortion medicine in Germany.

American FDM Association

This is a small, close knit group of Dr. Typaldos's friends and colleagues. They conduct seminars in the United States for D.O.s and M.D.s. Gene Lenard, D.O., is president in 2011 and Marjorie Kasten, PT, is their ongoing executive director.

European FDM Association

Osteopath Christoph Rossmy is president and Georg Harrer, M.D., is vice president, although I am told Christoph will be stepping down from his position this summer. The organization teaches fascial distortion medicine to M.D.s, osteopaths (both M.D.s and physiotherapists), physiotherapists without osteopathic training, and chiropractors.

FDM Asia Association

This is a network of osteopaths in Japan who practice FDM exclusively, I believe. The group is led by Keisuke Tanaka, a longtime champion of fascial distortion medicine, who Dr. Typaldos said most closely replicated his own style of doing treatments.

International Fascia Research Congress,

This is a multidisciplinary effort to bring fascia to the forefront of anatomical and medical discussion. They are beginning to focus more on fascial treatments as well. Georg Harrer, M.D., will be making a presentation on FDM at their next meeting in Vancouver, Canada in March of next year.
